Achievement at International Informatics Olympiad Level 2

MAMSIANS proved their mettle again in Second Level International Informatics Olympiad organised by Silverzone Foundation by securing Top ranks at International level. Second Level exam was held on January 17, 2015 in the school premises where in 41 stalwarts of our school from classes II-XII participated amongst top 1000 students, handpicked nationwide and abroad. Putting in all their efforts Vibhor Gupta of X C and Mukesh Kumar of XI B added another feather in MAMS crown by obtaining International Olympiad Rank 1 and International Olympiad Rank 2 respectively. Vibhor awarded with a tab , a trophy and will qualify for level 3, whereas, Mukesh Kumar felicitated with a digital camera and a trophy. The School also received school trophies for producing First and Second Olympiad Rank holder.

Achievement of Ms. Chandni Agarwal at MIELA Conclave 2015

Ms. Chandni Agarwal (PGT Computer Science) from Maharaja Agrasen Model School, CD-Block, Pitam Pura, Delhi participated in Microsoft Innovative Educators Leadership Awards (MIELA) 2015 , a national contest instituted by Microsoft to create a platform for expression of innovative ideas of educators in India. This contest was launched in the year 2014 to honour the best classroom innovators from K12 across the country by highlighting, recognizing, and rewarding educators who are using technology in amazing ways.
The contest witnessed an overwhelming response with educators registering for the contest from across States and Union Territories of India. 726 projects were submitted in total for evaluation covering government / private schools. The entries were evaluated by a panel of eminent educationists and industry experts in different states. Based on evaluation top 10 Educators from K12 category from India were selected. These top 10 educators were evaluated by the panel of esteemed judges at a national event held in New Delhi on 19th & 20th Feb 2015. Ms. Chandni Agarwal was amongst top 10 selected educators who prepared and presented their project along with a poster based on their project theme showing snapshot of the project on the day of evaluation. She submitted her project on the topic FUTURE CLASSROOMS blended with 21st Century Learning Skills using QR Code technique. The project dealt with pedagogy deploying technology tools to drive superior learning in schools by using techniques like QR codes generation and reading them. It also reflected 21st Century Class rooms blended with BYOD and showed how the future classrooms can be Eco friendly as it reduces the use of paper. The project promoted collaboration and sharing by showing how there can be a link between online and offline media with techniques on storing and sharing resources.
She brought laurels to the school and bagged Third Position from K12 category and was awarded with a trophy , Acer S1001 tablet and certificate.
Ms. Chandni Agarwal also attended development sessions on Office Mix, Sway and Office 365 along with the team of top educators from India.
It was indeed an enriching and great learning experience.

Mrs. Pratibha Kohli, Principal participated in round table conference at the School Leadership Summit 2015 on 31.01.2015 at Le Meridian, Connaught Place, New Delhi. It was an enriching experience to share the views of school leaders regarding use of technology in education. On behalf of the school, the Principal was also awarded commendation certificate from Digital Learning Magazine since our school secured rank 14th among the top schools of Delhi NCR Region. The programme was organized by elts Technomedia Pvt. Ltd., publisher of Digital Learning Magazine.

International Informatics Olympiad Level-1 Achievement

Keeping up the MAMSian reputation of performing meticulously in competitions and Olympiads dealing with the cyber universe, our students this year put in a splendid effort in the International Informatics Olympiad adding on to the prestige of our institution. The Olympian organized for students of all classes from 2nd to 12th saw a delightful sum of participation with a total of 182 students competing. It was an honour for our school to have achieved a class average significantly greater than the Olympiad average for almost all classes with the class 11th average reaching a whopping 91.3% at par with the Olympiad average of just 46.2% marks. The 1st,2ndand 3rd position holders from each class were awarded with gold, bronze and silver medallions respectively, to marks their exceptional performances. Furthermore students securing top international ranks were awarded with wristwatches and pens such that they can be further motivated for an even more thorough preparation. Students having an Olympiad rank of less than 500 qualified for the competition�s second level wherein stream wise winners would be chosen for the final level in New Delhi. Thus, resulting in an stupendous result, the competition proved to be a great learning as well as a winning experience for the students.

CHINESE DELEGATION VISIT

A Chinese group of 24 students and 3 teachers from the Experimental School of Capital Normal University,Beijing had visited our school on 3/02/2015 under cultural exchange programme. which was inaugurated and addressed by our worthy principal mrs. Pratibha Kohli, Dr.Dhirendra Bhatnagar the president and mr.Anand the secretary ,cucai.The chinese group has shown interest to understand the indian education system and extra curricular activities by the schools in india.The delegation was welcomed in a well organised programme by social science department in school assembly and finally in seminar hall in association with the primary wing and music department .There were a cultural performances by both indian and chinese students and interaction of students and teachers .The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by our respected Vice principal Mrs.Simmi Bhatia.

ACHIEVEMENT AT GNEED

MAHARAJA AGRASEN MODEL SCHOOL won another feather in the diadem of school when the school won the most coveted position. The rolling trophy was awarded to the Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli for winning the maximum number of the positions in the essay writing competition organized by Global Need Foundation Competition held on February 13,2015. The expressions of Nikita Aggarwal of class X bagged first position in essay group -2. Second prize was bagged by Twinkle Mulchandani of class X who pocketed second position in essay group 1 followed by Vidushi Bansal of class X and niharika jaisingh of class XI who could lay their hands on third position in essay group 1 and 2 respectively. Aniket Aggarwal and Harshit Gupta of Class X bagged 2 position for the model �Spy Helicopter�. Mrs. Chandni Agarwal (PGT- Comp.Sc.) bagged first position for presenting the teacher model �USING INNOVATIVE ICT TECHNIQUES IN CLASSROOMS �.

Cultural Exchange Program

The portals of Maharaja Agrasen Model School, Pitampura were abuzz with activity on February 3, 2015 as the school welcomed 26 Chinese students along with two teachers and Principal of Experimental School of Capital Normal University, Beijing as part of the Cultural Exchange Program which aims to integrate international dimensions and global perspectives in the school curriculum. Reflecting the quintessential aspect of the Indian tradition �Atithi Devo Bhava�, the school band Octave welcomed the guests with aplomb. A cultural fiesta was put up by the host school which commenced with prayer offerings to the Almighty and was followed by the Principal Mrs. Pratibha Kohli�s speech to accord a warm welcome. The Principal of the guest school Mr Lin Hui in his speech expressed elation in being a part of the global teaching-learning paradigm and aspirations of prudent learning outcomes which would cater to global needs. Inspired by the guest�s speech, the effervescent angels of the host school showcased the rich Chinese culture in Ethnic Vibes- A Dragon delight from China. The rhythmic moves of Flamesenser the great dragon and fleeting footsteps of the dancers left the audience enthralled. The riot colors of the Japanese costumes and the maneuvering wrists of the fan-dancers presented a picturesque sight when Fantastic Fanfare- Myriad Hues of Japan appeared on the stage. The patriotic Indian culture was also highlighted with the rendition of soulful patriotic songs. The guest school too offered a delightful array of presentations comprising of rope-dance and gymnastics. The Mamsians interacted with their Chinese friends and gained insights into the profound Chinese culture. The guests were felicitated with mementos as a token of fond remembrance. The program provided the students a unique experience and enabled them to adeptly face the challenges of the global era.

Achievement at 60th National School Basketball Championship 2014-15

Prince Dabas , a student of class XI-C represented Delhi in 60th National School Basketball Championship 2014-15 in Under 19 years category organized by School Games Federation of India at Chhatarsal Stadium, Model Town , Delhi from 2-1-2015 to 8-1-2015 and secured First Place. The Delhi team was awarded a Medal , Trophy and a certificate of Merit.

An inspiring and innovative exhibition was organized by Directorate of Education, Govt. of India, and NCT Delhi. Jagriti Gupta and Tushar Mittal(HEALTH), Akshath Singhal and Shashank Batra (ENERGY),  Jaishree Jain and  Khushi Garg (PRIMARY SCIENCE), Sahil Basia and Kartikay Gaur (MIDDLE SCIENCE).

After winning at Zonal level  and District level Science Exhibition, 2013 (SLSMEE) under their respective sub-themes participated at state level.

The competition was kind of an aided exhibition in which a team of two students showcased their exhibits on the respective topics .The models were accompanied with charts as a support. The exhibition was succeeded by ceremony enlisting the selected students. The dignitaries enlightened the participants with their kind words and awarded winners with certificates and trophies and medals. Tushar Mittal and Jagriti Gupta of class XII bagged I st position under the sub theme- Community Health and Environment and have been selected for National level to be held in 2015 . Sahil Basia and Kartikay Gaur VIII won fourth position under the subtheme Middle Science .

Exhibition was really informative and inspiring. All the students brought something new to the day, new data and different facts making the entire session much of a learning experience than of a competing one.

GANGA- The Annual Day

Maharaja Agrasen Model School CD- Block, Pitampura, Delhi-110034 celebrated its Annual Day and the Prize Distribution Ceremony 2014- Ganga on November15,2014 It was indeed an honour for the school to receive Madam Padmini Singla , IAS officer, Director (Education), Govt. of NCT, Delhi as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour Madam Rashmi Gahlaut, DDE graced the occasion with her benign presence.
The celebrations began with the lighting of lamp followed by Ganesh Stuti-our obeisance to the lord almighty to seek his blessings. In the welcome address to the august gathering Shri SC Tayal Ji, the Secretary, Shri Agrasen Educational Society extended his warm greetings to all the dignitaries and the esteemed guests. The school Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli presented the school�s Annual Report bringing into limelight the academic achievements, faculty empowerment programmes and laurels earned followed by the Prize Distribution in different categories i.e. academics, co-curricular and sports. Continuing with the spirit of festivity and celebration, the students presented the English play �The Beauty and the Beast depicting the emergence of beauty from its beastly attribute thereby delivering a message that cleanliness is not only next to godliness but is pivotal to existence . The highlight of the extravaganza was the ballet- Ganga which depicted the journey of the perennial waters from its origin Gangotri and then its descent irrigating as well as cleansing the sins thereby purifying the Indian souls. The ballet was in sync with the call of the honourable Prime Minister for Swachh Bharat. The Chief Guest Madam Padmini Singla in her address to the audience acknowledged and appreciated the efforts put in by the students in putting up the gala show. She also praised the meritorious students for their excellent performance in curricular and co-curricular activities and wished them luck in future.
The day came to an end with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Shri S.C. Mangla, the Manager , Shri Agrasen Educational Society.

Children National  Science Congress 2014-15(Central level)was held at Modern Public  School , Shalimar Bagh(New Delhi) where few teams selected from different zones all over the Delhi were required to present their innovative and new ideas on related topics of Understanding weather and climate. The students of our school (Senior  and junior teams)under the guidance of Ms Neha Sanan and Ms Alka Goyal  selected from zonal level had a good learning experience, where group leaders from each team were required to present their project reports for good 6 minutes. The presentation was accompanied by PPT, Charts and models. There was a wave of healthy competition running throughout the hall which promoted the various teams and their group leaders to share their knowledge and experiences in carrying out various investigations. The senior team of our school got selected for next level (State level) to be held on November 29,2014. The students were awarded with certificates and prizes in assembly by Principal Ma’am on Saturday 22,2014.

Techigenome - An Inter School IT Competition

Breathing codes, dreaming programs and living algorithms day in and day out is what a genome driven by technology does and to grant these tech-savvy minds an opportunity to quench their thirst for information technology, Maharaja Agrasen Model School,CD Block, Pitampura hosted TECHIGENOME-a series of interschool competitions on October 28,2014. 19 teams from all over Delhi thronged MAMS to participate enthusiastically thereby giving a tough competition to the entire fleet of participants. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the honourable Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli , Mr. Neeraj Garg and Mr.U.K.Jha-Associate professors at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology and Ms.Vijaya Lakshmi Gupta- HOD,NC Jindal Public School. A simple yet captivating BIRDIE DANCE was presented by primary grade students which mesmerised everyone with their synchronized moves lending a soothing aura to the otherwise competitive eerie of the competition. The Inauguration Ceremony was followed by the tough competition which comprised an array of events like- A Minute to Win It, MovieTek, Webtek, Being Professional and E-Collage. Appreciating the winning calibre of the apex victors, trophies and certificates were given to the winning teams of all the events.

German Fest

In accordance with British Council ISA Project, the German department of the school hosted the Oktober Fest on October 16,2014to incorporate the multicultural aspect in the school curriculum. The Seminar Hall witnessed enthusiastic smiles to welcome Ms Jagriti Buddhiraja and Ms Mylene from Maxmullar Bhavan as the guests of honor. The gala event included PowerPoint showcasing geographical and cultural features of Germany, a beautiful poem on nature, a German skit based on Red Riding Hood and a colorful, rhythmic bonanza in the form of Gujrati Dance.

The festival provided an authentic learning experience where the students explored and connected festival�s cultural sights, sounds and tastes. The colors of celebration and wonderful performances made the event a memorable one. Words of appreciation presented by the distinguished guests and the Principal Ma�am, Mrs Pratibha Kohli encouraged the children.

CBSE ZONAL HANDBALL ACHIEVEMENTS

Maharaja agrasen model school, CD - Block, PitamPura successfully organized and hosted Central Board of Secondary Education , North Zone I, Hand Ball championship 2014 - 15 in the school premises from October 8 to October 10, 2014 under the aegis of CBSE, Delhi - an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India. Mr Pushkar Vohra, Joint Director(Sports) CBSE and the esteemed members of the Management, honorable Principal, Miss Pratibha Kohli raised the occasion and declared the meet open. Under the category of the sub-junior handball team of under 14(girls), the........ MAMS proudly became the epicentre of sports as different states of this diverse nation made the occasion great extravaganza by their esteemed presence and participation. The program commenced with the Marchpast and was followed by the oath taking ceremony by the flag bearers who proudly represented their state. Thereafter the school band contingent - Octave presented a musical symphony representing synchronization of different musical notes. The mesmerizing and exhilarating performance by the Haryanvi dance troop filled the environment with vibrant colours and hues. The three days saw in each participating team a desire, a dream, a vision and an instinct to win and bring laurels to their team. It was a wonderful time seeing teams from all nooks.

CBSE Writing Series by MAMSIANS

CBSE conducted Writing Series Competition all over India for Cbse affiliated schools for the holistic development of the learners which strongly advocated a creative and supportive environment in the schools. The competition gave the students a platform to write and compete on the life of Sri PingaliVenkayya. The competitors were given the topic on the spot and were supposed to submit the same online. The winner mamsiansHarshit Gupta won a cash prize of Rs.10, 000 for his write up with which competed on9th and 10 August ,KavitaGoodwani collared a cash prize of Rs.10,000 on 8 and 9 August and ShashankBatra won a cash prize of Rs.5000 on 9 August. The winners were selected from over 2000 students all over India. The competition was conducted in both online and offline mode. It was not merely a competition but it provided the students to learn from others through blogs, wikis, social media like Facebook and Twitter.

Van Mahotsav 2014

Maharaja Agrasen Model School CD-Block , PitamPura, Delhi-110034 celebrated VANMAHOTSAV on Aug 1 & 2 ,2014 with an aim to raise awareness among children & masses regarding environmental issues that have become the major cause of concern globally. A plethora of Inter school activities was scheduled for day 1 & day 2 respectively which included: Ad Mad Show (Science) , E Newsletter (Social Science ) , Global Green ( Computer ) , 3D Logcap (Commerce ) , Poster Making ( Creative Art ) , The News Hour ( English ) , Poem Recitation (Hindi ) , Mathechure- a mathematical travelogue and International Folk Dance Competition .The inter-school competitions saw a large number of participants from different schools in & around the vicinity that showed students' interest in this noble cause. Participants from different schools performed their best &were applauded for their rhapsodic participation. Tree Plantation Drive was a noble gesture shown by the revered Manager of the School Management ,who in the company of the sophomores ,planted saplings to convey to the young ones that trees are vital for our existence. The eco savvy environmentalists from the host school took out an awareness march on August 02,2014 raising slogans & urging citizens to contribute their bit to save the Mother Earth . The march was flagged off by the school Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli . The school also carried out certain intra- school activities which included: Poster Making, Science Toon, Debate and Calendar Designing using waste material etc. The participation of the host school in different events displayed its concern & enthusiasm in serving the society at large. The gala event came to an end with the Prize Distribution Ceremony in which t Maharaja Agrasen Model School won the Over All Trophy which was then passed to KIIT World School , Saraswati Vihar , Delhi for being the First Runner Up.

�ESYA 2014�, The Inter-School and Inter-College Fest, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi

Date : August 22, 2014 (Friday) � August 23, 2014 (Saturday)
Event : Equipotential (2nd prize) Hunt IT, Big Bang, xQuizIT and Pwnd (Participated) ESYA, the inter-school and inter- college fest was held at IIITD on August 22 and 23, 2013. Participants from various schools and colleges of Delhi NCR actively participated in the events held at the fest. The students of our school also participated with great enthusiasm in various events of the fest which included Equipotential, which tested their Physics concepts and the practical application of those concepts. Akshath Singhal of class 12 B and Shashank Batra of class 12 A brought laurels to the school when they participated and won the Second prize in �Equipotential� which . Around 50 Teams of 2 students each from various schools of Delhi participated in the first round of the competition which was a MCQ test on Physics. 15 teams were shortlisted and these teams participated in the 2nd level of the competition which was held on the next day. In the 2nd level the students were required to create a Clap circuit and then a Boolean circuit using breadboards, and also explain their working. All these tasks were to be completed in a given amount of time as both accuracy and speed were accounted for. The tasks really required a deep practical and theoretical knowledge of Physics. Several teams were eliminated after each round. Our school�s team excelled in each round of this competition that stretched over 2 days. It was a great exposure and learning experience for the students. Our students, Akshath Singhal and Shashank Batra, were commended and were presented with laptop bags, certificates and a trophy. Students from our school also performed very well in other events of the fest which included Hunt IT, Big Bang, xQuizIT and Pwnd and gained a lot of positive experience as well as exposure.

COMPUDON AWARD CEREMONY

August 8, 2014 was a red letter day for Maharaja Agrasen Model School, CD Block, Pitampura as it organized the Compudon Season 4 Award Ceremony in the school premises to salute and eulogize the gold medalist for Powerpoint 2010, Arjit Kansal, the first Indian to be named the Microsoft Office Specialist World Champion and Shashank Batra, the first Indian to become the Silver Medalist at Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2014 for MS Excel 2007. The award ceremony was graced by the benign presence of Mr. Pankaj Rai, Director & CEO, Cyberlearning; Mr. Pankaj Dikshit, Area Lead, Learning Experiences, Mircrosoft Corporation; Ms. Fiona Collins, VP Market Development, Pearson VUE; Dr. Vinnie Jauhari, Senior Partner in Learning, Manager, Microsoft India and Mr Mandaar Barve, Regional Account Manager, Certiport Inc. The honourable Chairman of the School Management Shri Hari Om Goyal, the revered Manager Shri S.C. Mangla , the Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli and Vice Principal Ms. Simmi Bhatia applauded and glorified the students for their exceptional performance. The celebration saw a cultural fiesta put up by the budding MAMSians as they rocked the stage with the musical performance on the western song �All Rise�. The effervescent cherubs of the pre-primary classes filled the ambience with ripples of rhythm with the �Birdie Dance� followed by the performances by the cheerful troops of dancers on the lilting tunes of Vande Matram. The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.

Interschool Competition

Interschool Competition was organized by D.A.V. public school, Pitam pura on Friday, July 31, 2014. Tanisha Gawri of class Pre Primary Kangaroos participated in event "Techworld". She enacted as a robot. Her costume was specially designed accordingly to her character & the related topic. She participated enthusiastically and was awarded with a participation certificate.

Zenith 2014

The morning of May 3, 2014 brought with it a lot of excitement as it heralded the annual cultural extravaganza Zenith- Let�s Reach the Pinnacle for the primary wing. Effervescent participants from more than 25 prestigious schools of Delhi entered the portals of MAMS with great zeal and enthusiastically performed in the creative, literary and cultural activities to showcase their talent amidst a stimulating setup.
The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by a welcome dance and a street play by students of class II highlighting the importance of moral values. As the visual feast unfolded, audiences sat glued to their seats witnessing each splendid performance set a benchmark for the next. All participants tried to outdo each other as they vied for the coveted trophy in competitions like Kitabey Karti Hain Baatein, Flags in Rhyme and Rhythm, Tickling Tangrams, Kingdom of Dolls, Bannerette- the Banner Fiesta and Masquerade- the Mask Mania.
Clad in mesmerizing costumes were the children who enacted as dolls of different countries for the doll�s parade in Kingdom of Dolls. The culture of various countries came under one roof when Kitabey Karti Hai Baatein entitled the children to narrate folk-tales from around the world and apprise the audience of some moral values. Tickling Tangrams provided a creative opportunity to the budding mathematicians who used the Chinese dissection puzzle and made innovative logos and value-based taglines. Class III students ignited a sensation of sublime delight in every heart as the glorifying national flags of different countries waved in synchrony with the patriotic poems recited in the event Flags In Rhyme and Rhythm. Providing an acquaintance with the different tribes around the world was Masquerade- the Mask Mania wherein students of class IV designed captivating masks showcasing the chosen tribe. Glorifying the culture, traditions and values of different countries in Bannerette- the Banner Fiesta, students of class V made alluring yet eco-friendly banners to advertise the country selected.
Shri S C Mangla, the honorable Manager of the school management committee appreciated the efforts of the students.
Securing different positions in all competitions, MAMS bagged the Best School Trophy and passed it on to KIIT World School, Pitampura. The event came to a scintillating close with the appreciative words of the Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli and Vice-Principal Ms. Simmi Bhatia.

Inter-School Competition at G.D. GOENKA SCHOOL

A poem recitation competition �Poetry in Voice� was organized by G.D. Goenka School, Sector-9, Rohini on July 11, 2014 for the students of Classes III to V. Bhavya (IV- C) and Aashna (V-A) participated in the event and recited a beautiful poem on the theme of �Friendship�. The students prepared for the event under the guidance of Ms. Meenakshi. They were judged on the basis of thematic relevance, pronunciation, confidence etc. The participants mesmerized the audience with their performance and received participation certificates for the same.

Cavalcade 2014 - A salute to the nation

Maharaja Agrasen Model School , CD - Block , Pitam pura , embossed a new design with beauty, color and splendor on its canvas by celebrating the 65th Republic Day as the Annual Day for classes LKG-III, Cavalcade �A Salute to the Nation ,with a lot of fanfare on January 25,2014 With pure joy in the heart, light of inquisitiveness in the eyes and determination to build up peaceful and harmonious new India almost 700 students from LKG to III lent patriotic fervor to the reincarnated Raj Path with the back drop of India Gate. Eminent educationist Mr. S. K. Bhattacharya lent grace to the occasion as the chief guest along with the revered members of the school management. In his address, he appreciated the school�s efforts in providing quality education and acknowledged the contribution of the staff and students in presenting a magnificent show . The hoisting of the National Flag and salutations of the well synchronized marchers from II and III marked the beginning of the parade. The tribute to the Indian Armed Forces for their undying spirit of martyrdom & sacrifice was paid by the young battalion - the tender buds of LKG dressed as soldiers from all the three defence wings. Mr S C Mangla , the Manager in his welcome address heartily greeted the chief guest & the other honorable guests and heralded the commencement of the event. The traditional welcome - Abhinandan by Class II created a beautiful ambience .The young custodians also from class II displayed extraordinary taekwondo drill leaving the audience spell bound .The Principal Ms Pratibha Kohli in her message praised the efforts of the tiny-tots and updated everyone with yet another milestone in school�s endeavour to impart quality education-the upgraded Pre-Primary wing from the new session.. Enthralling the esteemed guests & spectators were the children of class I who brought alive the Magnanimous India from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari followed by a tableaux on Meri Dilli Meri Shaan with a vision of Green and Clean city. A vibrant & vivacious caravan of gypsies of UKG dressed up in glittering attires was a feast to behold. The dancers mesmerized the audience with their twirls & moves. Highlighting the country's strength in its strong diversity & bonding, the students of class III echoed the eternal voice of effervescent India through folk dances & colourful formations.The Vice Principal Ms Simmi Bhatia thanked the guests for their esteemed presence.

Himanshi Jain � A Glorious Victory

All accolades to Himanshi Jain student of class XII ( Session 2013-2014) for earning the very prestigious title- Engineering Watch Scholar for the duration 2014- 2018 by GLA University, Mathura. She is a proud recipient of Scholarship Voucher of Rs 50,000 on tuition fees ( p.a) on getting admitted to GLA University . She has also won herself a scholarship amount of Rs 1,70,000 (p.a) on seeking admission at Apeejay Stya University in addition to a scholarship of 50% on tuition fees (p.a) offered by United Group of Institutions.

PIET QUEST 2014

First Level of PIET Quest held at School Premises in November 2013 where in all the students of XI and XII Class participated. Around 70 students qualifed the first round and appeared for the online test (duration 30 mins). Nilesh Dhariwal and Harsh Grover of class XII(2014-2015) cleared the test and were selected for final round. Nilesh Dhaliwal secured 7th position and awarded with a 'Reebok wrist watch' and Harsh Grover awarded with a Tablet , Trophy and a scholarship of Rs.82,000 for securing Third Position at the competition.

Felicitations by Engineering Watch Magazine and United Group of Institutions

United Group of Institutions partner for NCR region with Engineering Watch fellowship celebrated ���Samman Samaroh��� on the occasion of their Founder���s Day on 25th April, 2014, where they had felicitated the principals who have come forward in Engineering Watch Fellowships and nominated their best students. The United group of Institutions (UGI) is poised to be a beacon in the arena of quality, higher education and ensures that each student under its wing gets groomed to be an asset to the nation. On the Occasion the School Principal Mrs. Pratibha Kohli , Faculty Mrs. Chandni Agarwal and Five Nominated Students of Class XII were felicitated on the occasion. Ms. Raj Kiran accompanied to the occasion. The five students nominated for the Engineering Watch fellowship are Rishabh Jain, Himanshi Jain, Piyush Madhusudan, Karan Batra, Rupal Jain of class XII (Science). Prof. R.Khandal , Vice Chancellor UPTU Lucknow , Mr. Attrey , Director Sales ABP News , were the Chief Guest of the occasion.

Excellent performance by MAMSians in Compudon Season 4

Mamsians brought laurels to the school and proved their mettle in the field of Computers through their excellent performance in �Compudon Season 4- The Official Gateway to the World Championship in Microsoft Office�. 69 students from our school participated in the first level of the competition along with 20000+ participants throughout the country. 52 students of our school managed to get selected for the India Finals in various softwares. The India Finals were held at Jaipuria Institute of Mangement, Sector 62-A, Noida on May 30, 2014. The India award ceremony was held in Lakshmipat Singhania Auditorium, PHD house, Siri Institutional Area, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi on May 31, 2014. Anmol Garg, Bipin Kalra, Ketan Mahajan and Shashank Batra, who are the India Champions of the past seasons of Compudon, hosted the event.
All the finalists from our school were recognised and awarded with certificates and medals at the ceremony. Gopal Batra,Priyansh Garg, Pratyush Garg and Nitin Gupta won the consolation prize for Powerpoint 2010. Mridul Manocha, Anmol Jain, Jasneet Singh, Arjun Arora and Tarun Sharma won the consolation prize for Powerpoint 2007. Mohit Aggarwal and Akshay Jain won the consolation prize winners for Word 2007. They were awarded with certificates and Pen Drives.
Shubham Jain and Moksh Garg became the regional winners for Excel 2007 whereas Sanyam Jain became the regional winner for Word 2010. They were awarded with Certificates and DVD Players.
Pulkit Sharma, Tushar Garg and Bipin Kalra became the 2nd runners-up for Excel 2007, Excel 2010 and Word 2010 respectively and each one of them was awarded with a Bronze Medal, Certificate and Nokia Lumia 520.
Anmol Garg, Ketan Mahajan ,Harshit Gupta and Anirudh Gupta became the India Champion for Excel 2007, Word 2007 , Powerpoint 2010 and Excel 2010 respectively. Each one of them was awarded with a Silver Medal, Certificate and a Nokia Lumia 625.
Arjit Kansal became the India Champion for Powerpoint 2010 and Shashank Batra became the India Champion for Excel 2007. They were awarded with Gold Medals, Certificates and Windows tablets. They would also be part of an all-expense-paid trip to Disneyland, Anaheim, California, US. They would be representing India at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in the US on 27 July 2014.
Worthy Principal ma�am, Ms. Pratibha Kohli and Head of Computer Science Department, Ms. Chandni Aggarwal were also felicitated at the ceremony and our school was awarded with two shields for producing two India Champions. In total, 22 MAMSians became winners and MAMS won 5 out of 6 top awards in Excel (2007 and 2010). MAMS has been producing at least 2 India Champion each season from Season 2. But for the first time both the members of the US Team representing India at the World Championship are from the same school. It was really a proud moment for every MAMSian.

Excellent performance by MAMSians in Compudon Season 4

Sixty Nine Students from our school appeared for Level 1 Microsoft Compudon Online Exam held from April 30,2014 to May 7,2014 for different versions of different applications of Microsoft Office. Level 1 Result declared on May 9,2014 , Thirty Four Mamsians qualified the first level and will compete for India Finals on May 30,2014. Click here to see the result

Recitation Competition at Delhi Public Library

Five students of our school participated in the poem recitation competition (English & Hindi) held at Delhi Public Library on April 16, 2014.
Nilesh of II-C won the II prize in Hindi poem recitation and Jaishree Jain and Aashna Garg of V-A won the III prize in English poem recitation. The students received a cash prize of Rs. 200 each and a certificate. The students were accompanied by Ms. Promila Kalra (PPT).

Art Competition Held at DPL

Vidhi jain of class V-A, Riddhi Mittal of class V-A, Avirudh Singhal of class V-B and Gaurang Aggarwal of class V-c participated in the Art Competition held at DPL on 19th April 2014
Result : Vidhi Jain of V A got 3rd Prize in her group and cash prize of Rs.400/-

Independence Day Celebration

Maharaja Agrasen Model School , CD - Block , Pitampura , Delhi paid tribute to the freedom fighters and remembered their inexorable and rhapsodic efforts to win back the country's freedom on the occasion of the Independence Day Celebrations. The resplendent event commemorated with the hoisting of the tri colour by the revered Members of the School Management Shri Satish Gupta , President,Shri Hari Om Goyal , Chairman and Shri S.C.Mangla- Manager followed by a rendition of the National Anthem. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the Head Boy Arshdeep Singh, the Head Girl Sonal Jain .The spell binding and enthralling cultural bonanza by the burgeoning Mamsians showcased their talent and left the audience mesmerized.The thespians of the school brought alive the glory and valour of Maharana Pratap through a play . The little masters of class IV showed their skills acquired in Taekwondo. The fusion of the patriotic songs and dances by the students of Pre Primary to VIII lent an aura to the auspicious occasion. The Manager of the school Shri S.C.Mangla addressed the audience and urged the cygnets to remember the hardships faced by the compatriots before freedom and to remember the saga of the sung and unsung heroes. He also inspired the young ones to serve their motherland with utmost sincerity and perseverance .The Principal Ms. Pratibha Kohli extended her warm wishes on the occasion of Independence Day and paid homage to the freedom fighters. She also propounded upon the students to fulfil their duties towards the nation in keeping their motherland green and clean . The honourable members of the management applauded the meritorious students for their brilliant performance in various fields.
