Drug Abuse Awareness Workshop by the Narcotics Control Bureau
The Drug Abuse Awareness Workshop, conducted on July 17, 2026, for the students of Class IX at Maharaja Agrasen Model School, received an overwhelmingly positive response from the participants. The session, led by Inspector Om Prakash from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), was highly informative, engaging and well suited to the age group.
The students appreciated the interactive nature of the workshop and found the information on the harmful effects of narcotic drugs and substance misuse, along with its physical, mental, social and legal consequences, both enlightening and thought-provoking.
Teachers observed that the workshop significantly enhanced students' awareness of the importance of resisting peer pressure and adopting a healthy lifestyle. Particular appreciation was expressed for the emphasis placed on seeking guidance and support from parents, teachers and other responsible adults when faced with challenging situations.
